# Data change not applicable

> What the `data_change_not_applicable` error means and what to do next.

The API, CLI and MCP return `data_change_not_applicable` with HTTP 409. Repeating the same request unchanged does not help.

## What to do

Read 'ohmyhost project status --project ULID --json'. Isolation applies to shared projects; returning to shared needs a deployed Prod database, and reset\_dev applies to isolated projects. If detail names an old database or storage binding, deploy the affected environment again before planning the change. Repeating unchanged does not help.
